Salary: Based on NJC SO1 spinal points according to experience.
£28,945-29,871 (including London Weighting) pro rata
Holidays: 25 days plus statutory holidays pro rata
Hours: 14 hours per week (with possibility of extension)

Would you like to join our small, friendly, team operating an advice and advocacy service for people with disabilities? As part of a successful Advice Services Transition fund grant from the Big Lottery Fund, we need a person with experience of advice work in the field of disability and social care.
Responsible to the Manager you would be expected to work as part of the team carrying your own caseload, which will include outreach at a GP surgery, home visits and office appointments. This role is has been created to enable DASCAS to participate in the Transforming Wandsworth Advice Project in partnership with Age UK, the Carers Centre, Citizens Advice and South West London Law Centre. You will be responsible for sign posting people to appropriate services and advising people in the context of the current Welfare Reforms. Your particular skills will be in advice and information for Wandsworth residents with disabilities, their carers and other professionals.
The Disability and Social Care Advice Service (DASCAS) is a voluntary organisation that operates a telephone advice line for five days a week 10am- 4pm. We provide a high quality service for people living in the Borough of Wandsworth and visit clients in their own homes. Our key work is encouraging take up of disability benefits whilst also supporting clients to identify their social and care needs and to enable them to access services.
