Open to: staff and volunteers of non-profit advice providing organisations based and providing services to Wandsworth residents only. This course is only open to organisations that hold charitable status

Cost: Wandsworth Advice is covering the costs of this event so it is free to participants

Course description

This is a workshop for anyone who is looking at ways of getting funding and support for charitable projects

Crowd funding is a growing phenomenon and is being used as an additional source of funding by many organisations

Though it is a powerful method for raising finance and increasing stakeholder engagement it requires very careful planning and involves a lot of resources that need to be carefully deployed. This workshop will explore the appropriate strategies and the tools and techniques to harness this new fundraising tool


This workshop is for anyone who is interested in fundraising, marketing and stakeholder engagement (and who meets the terms of the ‘Open to‘ section above)

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course participants will/have:

  • Appreciate how to use crowd funding as part of a charity’s funding strategy
  • The tactics and strategies to ensure the success of a crowd funding campaign
