The number of the organisations and groups that currently make up the Wandsworth Advice forum is growing. If you provide advice or information in Wandsworth then we would very much like you to get involved too: please complete the small sign-up form towards the bottom of this page

Signing up allows you to have a say in what we do and how we develop the advice and information sector in Wandsworth. It means that you will be kept updated and can get involved in the work of the forum, including campaigns. It also gives us some contact info so we can invite you to events, meetings and also the free training events we are commissioning for staff working or volunteering in the Wandsworth voluntary advice and information sector.

Age UK Wandsworth is an independent local charity which offers advice, information and services for people aged  60-plus throughout the London Borough of Wandsworth. The charity aims to promote the well-being of all older people across the borough, helping to make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience

Alzheimer’s Society (SW London) is a membership organisation, which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland

Christians Against Poverty  (CAP) is a national debt counselling charity that helps people around the UK by offering an in-depth solution, including home visits, support over the phone, and creditor negotiations and correspondence that can last months or years. The Wandsworth CAP centre is opened in partnership with St Mark’s Church, Battersea Rise

DASCAS provides independent advice to residents of the London Borough of Wandsworth about benefits and services available to people with disabilities, and the relatives and friends who care for them

Healthwatch Wandsworth works to help local people get the best out of their local health and social care services. Whether it’s improving them today or helping to shape them for tomorrow

Katherine Low Settlement has been a multi-purpose community and social action centre since 1924 dedicated to fighting the effects of poverty and isolation. It aims to respond proactively to local needs and issues, encouraging and supporting self advocacy so that people can participate in and run their own groups to meet these needs

Klevis Kola Foundation  is a community organisation with members from all over London. Klevis Kola supports refugee and asylum-seeking families and helps them to play their full part in the community

Lifetimes supports voluntary and community organisations in the London Borough of Wandsworth and provides training, advice, information, networking and opportunities for participation and involvement in local policy to all voluntary and community organisations in the borough. It also helps local organisations with volunteer best practice

Love to Learn (formerly the Refugee Home-School Support Project) was established in 2004 to improve and increase refugee children’s access to learning opportunities and experiences so that they are able to develop their full potential to achieve and participate

Personal Support Unit (PSU) supports litigants in person, witnesses, victims, their family members and supporters

Merton and Wandsworth Asylum Welcome aims to relieve poverty and distress by supporting refugees, asylum seekers and newly arrived migrants in South London. We provide tailored support, casework and advocacy, and youth support services

Springfield Law Centre is open to patients of the South West London and St George’s Mental Health Trust, their relatives and carers. It is an independent charity providing specialist advice on debt, community care and housing matters

South West London Law Centres provides individuals and communities in Wandsworth free legal advice and support on money and debt management, employment rights and obligations, housing issues and immigration and asylum matters

Staying First an award-winning dynamic social enterprise helping people stay in their homes and has been a part of SBHG since 2000

Thomas Pocklington Trust is a leading provider of housing and support for people with sight loss

Wandsworth Borough Council: various departments play a valued and active role in the WA forum, including the Financial Inclusion Team and the Department of Education and Social Services

Wandsworth Carers’ Centre provides free and confidential information, advice, support and more to carers living in Wandsworth or supporting someone who lives in Wandsworth

Wandsworth Citizens Advice Bureau with advice sites at Battersea and Roehampton, provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to those who live in the London Borough of Wandsworth

Wandsworth Foodbank provides emergency food and support for local people in crisis and currently operates across four sites in Wandsworth

Wandsworth Mediation Service is a charity offering a free service to the local community. It provides a community mediation service to neighbours, families and communities in conflict. It exists to help people to listen, talk and find a shared solution to the problems they face

Wandsworth Plus Credit Union is the new credit union for everyone who lives or works in the borough of Wandsworth. It provides financial services such as affordable loans, ethical savings accounts, insurances and much more to the local community

Wandsworth Public Health Team is now based at the town hall, and they and the council are working to put public health at the heart of everything the council does

Wandsworth Young Carers Project  supports children and young people aged 5-18 who are affected by the illness or disability of a family member and provide care (physical and/or emotional) to that family member. The person they care for may have a physical disability, chronic illness, mental health issues, drug or alcohol dependency or HIV/Aids

YOUth Legal & Resource Centre provides fully independent, free and confidential specialist legal advice with a focus on young people with disabilities, young carers and care leavers as being the most vulnerable and less likely to access legal advice
